I have one quibble which is this. While I agree that retreating to the mountain tops for selfish spirituality, passive peace or self-development is not to be encouraged in these days as a spiritual path worth proceeding with I can, nevertheless, see the potential, for some, in retreating into the forests or hills, if necessary, in what the Master Aetherius describes being ”The TYPE of introduction into the New Age which YOU SHOULD BE PREPARING YOURSELF…..” We might add that this does not necessitate indifference to the suffering of mankind anymore than accusing a Doctor of leaving his family responsibilities for selfish motivations to become a doctor or a survivalist with non-conformity! Of course, motive has a large part to play here. I believe the ‘general idea’ 🙂 is to ”co-operate with the Evolution of Terra” which means All things on Earth, including mankind, but not to the exclusion of the greater whole, which is not really a possible anyway! Of course, we can’t promote that TYPE of introduction as a safe or even practical path of Service for the majority but I do feel that a few will nevertheless follow that life-path as their way to prepare others who will need their expertise in survival and co-operative brother – sisterhood when the time comes. If nothing else this hard path will confer many of the necessary Soul attributes I mentioned in my previous post. Of course, we have a whole set of questions here from WHERE to retreat to, whats your MOTIVATION, is it even necessary FOR ME, and HOW FAR do you want to go to break away from the unfair system designed to enslave you! Anyway it’s a thought I’ve very often had! 🙂

Fantastic and informative talk as expected! There also appears to be a subtle change in the way spiritual unfoldment is regarded from the ‘old school’ to the ‘new expression’ of truth in these days. In ages past the ancient wisdom laid special attention to what was called, in the east, Siddhas, or the Psychic Powers, which could be attained as a means to encourage the aspirants towards spiritual practice. However, in these days these Siddhas are being appreciated in the light of Selfless Service as valuable Soul Qualities rather than limited psychic abilities, which is really just a part of our greater Soul Potential. This teaching also appears to be an extended version of an older concept. The Siddhas which the Cosmic Masters lay particular emphasis on in the Aetherius Society appear to be Spiritual Qualities rather than purely Psychic ones because they are more practical for manipulating karma. We might mention a few here as given by the Master Aetherius: Determination – Fortitude – Faith – Kindness (From ‘Become a Builder of the New Age) and we cannot forget Bravery as given by Mars Sector 6, or the quality (siddhi) of Peace as given by the Master Jesus. It’s also interesting that Jesus states, ”For, dear friends – adorable children – first cometh the Angel, Peace – to make way for the Goddess – LOVE.” There is more Truth in that than mere figurative speech for White Eagle contends, ”A certain line of angelic creation is concerned purely with the soul of things, with the attributes both of the soul of a human being and the soul of the universe. Divine attributes such as Love are served by the angels of Love; divine Truth by the angels of Truth; divine mercy by the angels of mercy. These angels are actually created from soul-attributes….” This is an aspect of the Devic Kingdom which has a direct bearing on the Spiritual Unfoldment of mankind and the development of certain Soul Qualities. An equally fascinating topic!
